@lucifermommy there are some really good free resources to get started. Teachyourmonstertoread.com is a good one. Education.com is good for free activities and worksheets.

@lucifermommy I started gently teaching when they were 3. Shapes, colors, abc, 123. By the time they were 5 we used online curriculum from time4learning.com which has my 8th grader learning at an 10th and 11th grade level. And my 3rd grader at a 5th grade level. Our schedule is based off of our personal life. We get up and do chores (which counts as life skills), we eat breakfast and do lessons. One important thing is to know your state laws. HSLDA.com is a good place to start and try to get plugged into homeschool groups.

I am going to homeschool my daughter. When did you start like what age? And what's a normal schedule you use and what kind of stuff do you use to teach them?
