I think he does that because he feels left out and wants to be involved more. But thats not the way to do it. Just didnt know if i was over reacting

If your child wants to talk to you that really isn't his business. If it's anything else he can be involved but you don't want your child feeling like he can't come to you, especially in a situation where the person around him isn't blood

@beebaby yes and i always tell hitchim he can talk to me about anything. I defended it but he got Defensive. Its a big issue for some reason with him. something i need to talk to him about but i want to go about it with the right words juat havebt found them yet

@nicolem10021, it can be really tricky with step parents they definitely wanna try to step up and help you out 10000% but sometimes they just don't know there place so just nicely remind him at times thank you but I got this especially when he just wants his mama!
