Mums who share custody of baby.... how do you feel on the days you don't have LO? Is it hard to start with? If you want to see them will you ex let you? I'm feeling getting him to move out but we need to sort days etc I still haven't told any family members only friends and everyone LOVES my ex because he is genuinely the best guy ever this isn't a bad break up I just fell out of love however I'm dreading the telling people

@holliesinead, it can work easily as long as you both get on and put the child's needs over your own. My partner had a daughter from a previous relationship which we use to have joint custody of and at the beginning it was fine you both get a break and time to yourself and then look forward to seeing them :) the only problem was my partnerd ex was nasty and wouldn't let him cut her hair or paint her nails and have a say on which school she went to etc. just pety stuff really but if you have a good relationship with your ex there's no reason why it can't work. There will be hard times like if one of you gets a new partner or you disagree on stuff which you will but you have to try not to think about your own feelings and how you feel and think about your little boys and that he loves his daddy and will probably love seeing him, he won't care if one of you gets a new partner or who has the most money. We use to have a little book that stayed with the child then you write in it what the child has on your days what time they went bed and anything important like doctors appointments or if they fell over, it made things a lot easier so you know what's he's been up to. And as for seeing him when he's with your partner there's no reason why you shouldn't aslong as you let him have time on his own but I'm sure you could pop round and say goodnight or meet them at the park for an hour of you were missing him or speak on the phone. Sorry for long post but I've been there and unfortunately for us it didn't work down to one of the partners putting themselves first and the child has now suffered, but yours doesn't have to 😊👍xx
