Im having s c section Im 3 weeks.. I plan on breastfeeding... my boyfriend just asked me"what are you going to do about the pain while you're recovering?" I replied "they'll probably prescribe me painkillers" he's all like "I'm pretty sure you can't take painkillers while breastfeeding " is this true??????!!!!!!! I see my doctor next week..

Had an emergency c and breastfed. They give you painkillers that won't effect the baby at all.

Depends what it is. I was prescribed norcos which are a narcotic. I didn't take them though, ibuprofen was enough for me and I was too paranoid to take them while BF.

They will prescribe you the lowest dose of perks. I think the were 2.5s.

They will prescribe you a low enough dose so you can still breast feed, that is what they did for me.

Most likey they will give you ibuprofen, just be sure to tell them your exclusively breastfeeding. Recovery isn't that bad my labor was worse then the actual c section.

Lol men! I had 2 sections and when your tell your docs you will be BF they will hook you up with the right thing. Don't worry, you'll be good. With my last one, they gave me a nerve block along with the spinal block. The nerve block went into lower abdomen, it lasted I think 24-48 hours, it was AMAZING!!
