My 3 month old hasn't pooped in like 4 days?? I've tried everything. I've done the Vaseline and qtip, rectal thermometer, bicycle legs, stomach massage, warm bath, and nothing but a couple stinky farts. I'm going to call his doctor soon but they were in a meeting until 2:30. Has this ever happened to anyone and what did you do? He's half formula fed and half breast fed.

Definitely talk with dr they may recommend some pear or prune juice but it's hard to say because each dr has different opinions

They may advise juice or suppository. Sometimes a long warm bath helps before giving suppository or to just get them going. They also may ask what foods ur eating bc maybe he has a food allergy to dairy or soy, or they may suggest changing formula, if they do, they may have samples for you so be sure to ask. If he seems in pain you can ask to give Tylenol .

I'm having this problem with EBF baby but she is only 3 weeks old. Doc recommended half of a PediaLax liquid suppository. It worked within 30 min.

@mrslasyone, breastfed babies can go like 10 days without pooping it's normal...

My son has gone a full week without pooping & his GI said it's normal for breastfed babies. Suppositories are rly hard on their little bodies so unless he's in discomfort then I'd just wait it out.

@gabriellerose, oh it might be formula then.. it's so sad to see them in pain... wait until he starts teething..
