No its not a routine thing hun just if you have gestational diabetes the baby can be bigger or smaller than usual so they like to do extra scans at 28, 32 & 37 weeks just to keep an eye on it. As they have found with mine babys weight is a lot more than it should be at this stage so they will bring my induction date forward to make delivery less complicated. No that's true I've heard from a few ladies that the estimated weight has been wrong but as long as they are happy and healthy weights not to much of an issue hope everything goes well for you hun xxx @celizabethj90

Had mine and shes 5lbs 15oz 😞 bit on the small side but they ain't always right x

Because I've got gestational diabetes I have scans to check what baby weighs they work it out by measuring his head abdomen and leg and they measure the fluid around the baby it's not a 100% accurate but it wasn't far out with my first @olivia161

How do you know what baby is weighing? I've never been told what he's weighing roughly. I was only told what she thinks he will weigh when he's born? Xx @nailah
