Universal preschool access

I don't think I've ever seen this topic discussed here? Anyways, there's a bill or something up in MN for universal access to preschool. I have some friends who live there who are completely against it and I'm trying to understand why. I can't understand their concerns because their concerns aren't how 4k works? At least not here and wouldn't be there from how I understand it.

Thoughts on waiting another year to start daughter in preschool.

Our district doesn’t have a spot at the moment. So we have to find a preschool ourselves. We applied to Headstart but we make too much money so lower income families get first spots. But both districts have her at the top of their waiting list above others because she needs/receives speech therapy therefore they want the grant money that comes along with her being enrolled. Is it normal for preschoolers to not be able to take a lunch? I went to meet my 4 year olds teacher yesterday and she told me that they aren’t allowed any food. I know I can’t be the only parent with these concerns..

Officially one day late...

I've just realized that I'm one day late for my period. I've been so busy with my son going to kindergarten and preparing him for t-ball, and getting my daughters speech therapy and preschool in order that I forgot my period was due this week.
