Idk about any other mamas but I didn't just have a baby to leave her when she's uncomfortable and crying .. it's my baby and best believe I'm going to put everything aside to make sure she's okay.. and will not let others tell me what to do or that they'll take over ..😒

I near that all the time...... let him cry. I'll let him cry for like 10 mins then I have to grab him. They're still so little all the need is our love and milk. Why people are so stuck on a baby needs to be independent is beyond me. They're babies they need comforting

@ezyboosmama, oh I let her cry as much as she needs and then I comfort her but others want to take over and not let me care for my daughter and they think they know her better than I do ..

Oh no. My best friends mother in law was like that. It's funny because when people have kids they automatically think oh ya their kids exactly like mine. I've only experienced that once from someone I barley knew and I was like whoa whoa whoa back off lady. It's such a crazy feeling of wanting to tell them screw off and trying to be polite haha
Nessa·
That's my MIL she tries to take over and do things with my baby that I should be doing .. like they had their kids already .. i popped this child out it's my turn to learn how to take care of my child .. and yes it's hard to hold my tongue and just be polite lol @ezyboosmama,

Is she Mexican by any chance.... a lot of Hispanic mother in laws are use to the tradition of the grandmother showing the mom the ropes so to speak. I thank god my ML isn't like thy but a lot of my family is like that. Set in the old ways.
Nessa·
@ezyboosmama, yes she's Hispanic , but idk why I feel like that with her and with my mother I don't mind her holding my baby .. i mean my mom doesn't butt in on anything she lets me breastfeed and gives her to me when she cries .. but my MIL wants to take over .. like if she knew what's wrong .. one day i took her from her and my baby girl stopped crying 😂..

Nothing compares to your own mom. You guys will always have that unspoken bond and she knows your a good mama I always see it with the ML's they always try to take over. In time she will back off or talk to your hubby about it. He can always help saying it to his mom without making it sound like it's coming from you.
Nessa·
@ezyboosmama, but how do I tell my hubby without offending him cause that is his mother .. I don't want to make him feel like I don't like his mom or get upset you know what I mean .. I have told him that I want to breastfeed exclusively because his mom wanted to bottle feed my daughter but he knew my wish and went on and told her not to because I wanted to breast feed so it went okay .. it's just sooo hard trying to be polite. Lol

Just sit him down and say babe I want to talk to you about something but please don't take it the wrong way.
I love your mom but I'm a first time mom and want to do this the way I feel is right for me. I appreciate the help your mom wants to give but I feel like sometimes she tries to push me out of the way so to speak. I always started convos about my boyfriends mom with I lover because I truly do but sometimes you have different views that she needs to respect.
Nessa·
@ezyboosmama, yes I will definitely do it this way thanks 😊 sometimes we don't say anything because we don't want to jeopardize our relationship with certain people.

This is true!!!! I've learned a lot on how to successfully talk to someone in a very opinionated situation by trail and error haha. Good luck I know you'll husband will under stand. One thing I've had to learn is tone is everything😉
