@cubanese we only put 2 oz at a time in the bottle for him. Usually he'll play around with it unless it's my milk and then he drinks it pretty fast and then cuddles until he falls asleep.

I wonder if the LC didn't say anything because of what the pediatrician said? I'm not sure but it kind of hurt me to hear that from the pedi. I wanted to go up to LLL but I could only go to WIC for the time being. They gave me a super pump

How do I get him to where he's not wanting to overfeed? Sometimes he's still showing hunger cues after 2 ounces?

@cubanese he's having a problem with latching. We went and spoke to a lactation consultant and she showed me how to position him and whatnot and we got a nipple shield to help, but at his 2 day checkup he'd gone from 8 pounds 6 oz to 7lb 4 oz and they were threatening taking him back to the hospital so dad was worried and we had to supplement w formula. Well he knew how upset I was so he asked the pedi what we could do and she said to pump every 2 hours at least that way he gets more of my milk than the formula until o produce more but try to nurse him as well. He just gets so frustrated and I can't calm him down enough to try again for too long

@teniera we're having troubles w nursing so I've only been able to pump and I had to supplement with formula because he was losing weight and dehydrated
