Alright mamas I know this can be a sensitive subject but I need some opinions and advice. My sweet baby is almost 6 months old and has been fighting sleep terribly! She's so sleepy but won't let me rock her without freaking out and I've tried Ferber method, so letting her cry for a few minutes and going in to soothe her without picking her up. It's not working. So I think we are going to try CIO. The idea of it scares me because I hate hearing her cry. And more than that I'm worried she will be scarred for life and will think I don't love her because I make her cry herself to sleep. I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance that this won't completely ruin our relationship. (Feel free to tell me I'm being completely ridiculous 😂)

Have you tried seeing if she needs to cut out a nap? Perhaps she's having a hard time going to bed because she's not tired?

She only naps for 30ish minutes at a time, 3 times a day and she fights it during nap time as well. She rubs her eyes real bad and cries, so I'm pretty sure she is just overly tired

I've been trying to put my son down half an hour before he usually starts fighting it and cutting out a bunch of stimulation an hour before that time. It goes a lot better and he sleeps better too :) it just doesn't work while teething

You're being ridiculous lol
My son is doing this lately, he will not sleep in my arms sometimes. Once he's in his crib he might cry a few minutes then he's out.
Other times I have to rock him.
Sometimes it's bottle, rock until he starts fighting then crib.
Sometimes straight crib.
Do what works for you and screw the judgement of others
