Soooo a friend of mines just give birth. She says the epidural slows down the birth delivery is that true ? She told me she scream when they cut her ??? Why the fuck she felt that ?lol I don't want to feel when they citing me WTFFFFFFFF .

Epidural can slow down labor. Not always. Epidurals do not always work 100% for all women. Epidurals are usually turned down once pushing begins so that mom can have more feeling of what she's doing.

Sometimes the epidural doesn't take all the way. Mine did, I wouldn't have felt anything but it also caused my blood pressure to drop to nothing so I had to have an emergency c.
rooster ·
@arivera64 don't they give you something before they start cutting you ?
rooster ·
@jasholbert wow.. ok ok.
Deleted·
@rooster no. Not usually. If you've had an epidural that's what you get.
rooster ·
@arivera64 if you get the epidural you will not feel it. But if you dunt get it and they have to cut your vagina. How can they just cut it like that with out giving something yo num the pain ?
Deleted·
99% of the time cutting isn't even necessary. You can tell them not to do it. To let your body do what it does naturally. Not only that, most women don't feel it because the episiotomy usually gets done when the baby is still crowning. That's when the woman is already in the most pain because of the "ring of fire".
rooster ·
@arivera64 ok that last sentence was scary AF. Ring of fire ? 😑
rooster ·
Thanks you lol. 😫😓🤕🤒

A burning sensation that's felt around the vagina as the baby is crowning
rooster ·
@arivera64 did you get episiotomy ?
Deleted·
I have had one
rooster ·
@arivera64 hmmmmm did you ask for it ? Why didt yoy want to just let your body do it's thing then ?
Deleted·
Because when i had my episiotomy I was 19yrs old. I was not a certified labor professional like I am now. I didn't do my research and know all of the things that I know now. That's why.
Deleted·
And no i didnt ask. I was told it was going to be done and i just let them do it.
rooster ·
@arivera64 ohh I see . What's your thoughts on ripping. Either way both are painful right ?
rooster ·
@arivera64 oke. That's what I don't get. Why you have to suffer more from getting cut ? When you already choose not to get the epidural . That sounds messed up. They should put ice to num it before cutting.
Deleted·
Both painful but in most situations it's better to tear naturally. The reason being is that you will usually only tear the amount that your baby needs to come out. Getting cut open requires tools that could risk infection and you can get cut more than you need to be.

They do give a numbing injection to stitch you up

@rooster, I had to be induced. I walked into my induction already dilated to a 3 and 80% effaced. I was a 4 or a 5 I believe when I got my epidural, and I jumped from a 7, to a 9 & 1/2, to a 10 real quick. I pushed for an hour.
rooster ·
@arivera64 you too ma. I'm going to follow you on social media. I just Reed your bio lol. No wonder. You will hear from me soon . 😊😊😊
rooster ·
@theinkedmommy omg soo it's it normal to push for so long ? I think the epidural made you dilated fast but the pushing one hour?
rooster ·
@theinkedmommy did you push like 20 times ,?

@rooster, Some babies are easier to push out than others. Every birth is different. I only felt like I was pushing for 5 minutes, lol. She came out 5 lbs 10.5 oz.
