I think a man should wear it for his wife . I believe it has meaning many don't think so tho . And there is no such thing as you can't wear one because they make rubber ones lol. I was finally able to buy my husband a ring after two year married lol he better wear his.

My husband doesn't wear his (he has tried three now) because he didn't like the way it felt, it scratched his face or his fingers got to big (he's a personal trainer so goes through fases of losing weight and gaining) I personally hate that he doesn't wear it because he is around so many woman but I think in your case he's just being disrespectful and to you

@mami1234, I agree with you. He wears his ring literally every day no matter what. But today we went fishing, he had me holding it... we got into an argument and he doesn't want to wear it again.
