So I have a question my son is 2 months and 2 weeks old should he have a bedtime he still wakes up every 3 hours only…

That's how my son does and he is 2 months almost 2 weeks

You're doing just fine. Don't force anything. At this age they're in charge. Not sure if that ever changes especially any time soon lol. My son is 2 months 2 weeks and we put him on a bedtime routine opposed to a schedule. And he falls asleep soon after. Set a time to take him for a walk or engage in high activity with him then give him a bath. Even if he isn't dirty just sitting him in a warm bath and washing his hair is relaxing. Then take him out lotion him up and give him that fresh diaper. Feed him* and girl he will be out like a light.

@phase, omg thank you yes I do that with him when he was new born he was on a set schedule and now I'm so happy I got him to sleep alone me and my fiancé co-slept with him but not no more his sister made that mistake and now her daughter cries she won't let her sleep alone which is her fault as well but he sleeps on his own and it's amazing now he is sleeping 5 hours straight omg ! It's amazing he had so many ch energy for a 2 month old so we wear him out and read books and play with him to keep him up hispediatrician told me to try and keep him awake during day time it helps. Thank you yeah it took sometime to realize his the boss at this point😄

We co sleep with our son. We're in for a rude awakening. Idk how to make him independent. The reason we started sleeping with him is because he had reflux and I didn't want him spitting up and choking in the middle of the night. It's a challenge but I love sleeping with him as much as he loves sleeping with us. (For now lol)

@phase, we did the same thing in the first 2 weeks he was sleeping alone but one night he scared us he threw up from his nose so we started sleeping with him and yes we love it ❤️ he loves to cuddle but we saw how much his sister is struggling so we had to change that and let him sleep alone bc even though he sleeps alone in the mornings I bring him in the bed with us bc omg we gotta enjoy him while his a baby but we started letting him so what I do bc his dad is clueless still lol I give him his bottle Burt him and hang out for a bit then I turn on his sound machine and it has a projector trust me it's the best investment ever so onces it's on I turn off the lights even if he's awake he is so entertained by the projector eventually he falls asleep and he won't wake up till 5am then that's when I get him in the bed with us I thought it was gonna be hard but try it the first couple of times I would wake up every hour to check on him but his fine now so I still check in him every so often but omg to be honest start now bc it's gonna get tough

He was throwing up from his nose too. The pediatrician gave me medication for the reflux. I'm going to invest in a projector. They love lights at this age. Thanks girl!

But you know what he sleeps on his side in our bed. If I let him sleep alone I'm afraid for him to sleep on his side because eventually he will learn to roll. And as for sleeping on his back ...he spits up. Even after burping him. Any suggestions? Idk how to have him sleep alone without worrying that he may choke. His crib is right next to my bed but he's never used it.

Lastly, lol what are the cons of just having them sleep with you? Who needs a crib? Or am I completely fooling myself?

@phase, yes he loves lights and we also got toys with lights for him bc he just stares at them and starts smiling it's crazy he's growing so fast !

@phase, same here my boy is doing the same thing but I realized that he only does it in the bed so when he slept on his own he slept on his back the whole time and now he's use to it. Just try it I was so super paranoid about it all I had a million things going in my head but my mom pushed me and told me it's okay just let him and I did and now he sleeps alone without me worrying yes my sons crib is also by my side so it's okay to wake up and check on him you'll get so use it watch it was so tough on me but you got to bc then they'll become clingy

@phase, to be honest with you I'm all about letting him sleep alone, the crib is a great idea he will become independent and learn to soothe himself if he cries as a new mom it's hard but my mom told me if you know he's okay feed and changed and under your watch it's okay to let him cry it's tough but now I see what she meant and he is soothing and putting himself to sleep every night trust me it's amazing to have sometime for yourself you gotta have time for yourself aswell since mommy is doing it all so I don't get as exhausted as I use to

I let him chill and nap in the crib today. He was just fine. (It was me who was all panicky) he watched his laugh and learn show on his iPad and was talking up a storm. So tonight is the true test. Send up a prayer for me. Have a Good Night

Good Morning! I slept like a baby! I woke up several times just because I jump at every sound lol but he was just fine. At around 4am I put him back in the bed with me. So we made it through half the night. Tonight we will try again. But he slept just fine. Turns out it was me who wasn't ready not him lol. And again girl I slept sooooo good. It was like a drunken sleep.

@phase, omg yess !!!!! I was the same way it takes some time I'm still but yes we did the same at 4 am we put him back in the bed but tomorrow I'm gonna leave him in his crib after I feed him ! So it worked 🎉🤗 yay!!!!

Thanks for your support throughout the process! I think the fact he already had a bedtime routine helped because he was already tired. How's the bedtime routine been working for you guys over there?

Five hours! Wow. That's what I'm talking about! Im a photographer and today I took my son on a Photo Shoot with me. Of course family was there...I shot pre prom pics. But it felt amazing having my baby come to #werk with me.
