How can I know the difference between regular discharge and leaking amnoitic fluid????

@shinelikethestars, they say if ur leaking fluid u need to lay down for 15 min if I feel a gush when u get up then it's fluid if not then u are just having extra discharge. I actually leaked like a puddle it was clear and no smell we thought my water broke but turns out well dr said mucus plug but actually I just think all kinds of random fluids come out at the end so just be ready for whatever

It can smell slightly sweet or like semen. I agree with laying down for a bit. If you leak while you're laying down and get a good trickle once you stand up....it's probably your water.

the doctor told me to try wearing a pad if I think I'm leaking fluid.... if it's just a trickle it will still end up filling the pad if it's actually the water
