Has anyone here had a c section before? I've been offered one this time around because my tear was so bad with my last but don't know what to do this time😶 X
I had an emergency c section with my first and the pain afterwards was awful but after a couple of weeks I was fine! It was just very painful to walk and govthe toilet afterwards. I've got to have one this time around but having general anthestic due to having permanent damage to my spine from the epidural. Xxxx But everyone is different so probably best talking to your midwife about the options xxx
By the looks of things I'll be steering more in the direction of normal birth, I thought a c section would have been easier aswell! I'll def talk it through with my midwife still have quite abit of time left, just hope this one isn't 9 and a half pounds like my daughter was lol xx
You'll need help x especially for atleast 4-6 weeks x depending how you heal x because having the c-section isn't the hard part x the aftermath of pain and not being able to move around alot x in hospital it will be just you and the baby x but at home you will be with the baby and your 2year old x not easy x you gotta be careful you don't accidentally open any stitches x
You will have a hard time going up n down the stairs, sneezing, coughing and laughing to hard x
They're WORSE!!! LOL!! 😂 x I love them to bits x but they were soo bad from start to 6-7months x It was like pure madness x but eventually as they grew it started calming down x but now they are MILES better x still kick of like no ones business but love em 💗💗 x
Aaah!! I can imagine!! x The healing of my forceps stitches was super painful x but the stitches i got on my last pregnancy weren't that bad x but let me tell you hun the c-section pain is OMG!!! x super intense! x
I also had a 3rd degree tear with my first and it took ages to heal but like sara-lou86 they are advising me to go for a normal birth haven't offered me a c-section
I had a c-section!! The recovery is hard and painful, especially the first couple of weeks but all in all it was fine and I'm considering an elective for my next one! Any questions! Feel free to message me☺️xx
That's interesting because I tore badly first time (3rd degree, took over a year to heal properly). So I enquired about whether I would need to have a c-section or not with my 2nd & they were like no definitely not 97% of cases don't tear 2nd time around. We dont reccomend c-section just because you tore. You'll be fine. I tore again, just as bad. Actually says 4th degree on my paper work. I Also found out I have an odd shape pelvis which makes natural birth harder so if I have a 3rd in the future I should definitely consider a c-section. I guess my comment is no help to you as I haven't had a c-section. However looking back at how bad my 2nd labour was, would a c-section have saved us both from that? Hard to tell. I did heal better this time around. And a c-section is a big surgery with possibly a longer healing time. It's definitely something to get some more advise about so you can make a decision. Personally even though my labour & tear was bad, the thought of having a c-section & healing petrified me.
@xxxzenixxx are they as bad as people make out? I've heard alot more horror stories than positives it's scary. Yep! 3rd tegree tear not pretty at all, it was the healing that was the worst though x
