@mybaby519, it's best to keep your baby at home or if u need fresh air step out in the backyard. Baby is not immune and can catch anything I didn't get my baby any shots at birth so we didn't allow visitors bc anybody can carry things even family. I took my son out in a public place for the first time at 3months which was like one week after his first shots. Once baby has vaccines it will build up its immunity. I did take him to dr appt which was in public but came back home shortly after
Personal opinion, I don't like to go into huge germy areas with my new baby but if I'm going stir crazy I would take them out but only in a car seat and I wouldn't let people touch them, and I would wash my hands as soon as we got back

I had to. I have a 5 yr old as well and have no help. So i had to take my newborn out to get my other son to school and things.
I didnt take him out anymore than i had to but some people dont have a choice
