Jus curious what age do you guys think is acceptable for child to play in front or back yard by themselves i say 6 but…

If you have a fenced yard maybe six I lived at an apartment complex you had to be 8 or be with an adult

@shann ok ty just wanted opinions yea i seen kids smaller than six unsupervised a couple times in my complex sometimes kids that look around 3 im like dang where is your mom at

8 sounds best mines not fenced in . It's by a field and far from main road but still id worry my oldest only 4 i would never let him play outside by himself i see some people let their 5 year olds 3 year olds do it at their houses i dont like it . Just wondering what is supposed to be acceptable now .

@beebaby true big dogs arent allowed at these apartments but i see people do it at their non fenced in houses im like dang is that supposed to be ok to let them play unsupervised at 5 i was just curious if other people felt this way my main fear would be kidnapping . Here . But if i.was in another area I'd worry bout them getting hit by car or kidnapped or dogs.

I think i used to always play outside by myself and walk myself to school when i was around 6/7 sounds crazy to me tho .

@adriennelea well I don't trust it at any age but I do have a closed in fenced yard and I do allow my 9 year old back there with my 7 year old but it's not for long cause I'm paranoid so I always make them play in the basement atleast I'm out there or they dad

@adriennelea, I live on a dead end (legit all old people on my street) and my son is 6 he is allowed to play in our back yard not our front at all and our dog goes out with him... but it's all a private back yard and I stay in the living room watching over him
