The best way to produce more milk is to nurse more. It is normal for babies to "always" be nursing. It doesn't mean you're under producing. Just means their small stomachs need to be filled more often. Plus it's comforting to them.
@kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom, my one month old doesn't really latch on my nipple so I been pumping but I'm noticing that my milk has decreased it's not the same amount I was pumping a few weeks ago
Ohh okay. Are you on a regular pumping schedule? Pumping every 2 1/2 hours basically on the dot might help. Also, massaging your breasts as you pump may make a difference as well. Do you have an electric pump? Or manual?
It could be. Producing milk is a supply and demand kind of thing. If you can't get baby to breast I would recommend pumping on a more consistent schedule rather than as needed. Also, talking to a lactation consultant may be able to help you with your little one's latching concerns.
Fenugreek tablets Or brewers yeast tablets. Both can be found at Wal-Mart in the vitamin section. My friend takes her fenugreek every 4 hours. I take mine only 3 times a day so the morning afternoon and night time. Then I'll switch it up to brewers yeast after a month and take that 3 times a day. Also Gatorade or predialyte work great too, a lot of water. Whatever your losing make sure to replace them some more. I eat oatmeal for breakfast , mothers milk tea works great too & lactation cookies but I was spending so much $ on those when the ingredients of in the tea is fenugreek and the ingredients in the cookies in brewers yeast. I decided to just buy the pill forms at Wal-Mart and it's cheaper
@sebastiansmami, my son is 25 days old and I'm seeing the lactation consultant for the 11th time today :( it's SUCH hard work getting this thing down! I'm struggling with supply too. I'm feeling defeated and so sad

@kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom, I do not pump as often as I should usually just when I know his feeding time is coming up could that be a reason why ?
