Try a mobile pet sitter it's usually not crazy expensive and they will come to your house, feed water and walk the dogs

Maybe your man can come check on the dog while you're at the hospital? He should be okay if you make sure he has food and water before you leave. Then maybe the next day your man can come home for a bit to check on him?
