We agreed on every other weekends holidays would be split. Ex: xmas mines new yrs his... so forth summers was planned ahead of time and written and signed so it couldnt be an argument or back tracks...

11 years here. When we separated we agreed I'd be the custodial parent. He had every weekend and I had all week since he worked so much. Then he decided he didn't have enough free time so we settled on him getting them every other weekend and we shared holidays. ITS BEEN SO DIFFICULT for me. At first my kids screamed and cried and we had to force them to go with their dad. I cried the whole time he had them. Now that he's remarried he acts like father of the year. He's so demanding and causes so many problems. The court honored our agreement and anything else we talk about until we agree on something. If we don't agree we follow the court papers suggestions. It's not easy waking up on Christmas morning and my kids aren't waking me up to open presents. Or when it's their birthday and I only see them 1/2 the day. Everything's an argument now. Who pays for what? Who gets the kids for certain days? Ugh Sorry you're going through this.

@brittxxdee, @morganmommy79, it's definitely going to be a struggle i wanted to agree on mon, fri & half of wed & 2 weekends the month but he wants all weekends

@lovee.n, ehhh the twins father was like that to at first and i gave him every weekend for a month! Until i broke down and explained to him i need weekends to .. to spend time with the girls and do activities and ect especially cause summer is almost here!! Im praying u dont have to go the route of court

@brittxxdee, once i said only 2 weekends and tht i wasnt changing my mind that was mentioned but im hoping we work things out for the better

@lovee.n, i hope so also. Me and bf made it to the courts but before we saw the judge we were able to hash things out and come to an agreement with a mentor the courts give you. I went to the bronx court and i see your from the bx also. They almost always side with the mom and it gets nasty for the dad so tell him that if he wants to make it work. U know how the court system works.. always wanna see everyone fail
