I just did this! I did 1 oz formula with 2 oz of breast milk...for 5 days. 2 oz formula with 1 of milk for 5 days and now I'm doing 3 oz of formula with like half an oz breast milk..ill take it out whenever. He HATED formula...but doesn't mind enfamil gentle ease. Maybe try something else!

I always cut my girls cereal with breast milk it has more in it than formula n it's better for ur little boo

@brbsmomma you should definitely or maybe the flavored cereal... My daughter loves all the rice and cereal...but all children are different, plus with the supplementing it helps take the actual taste of formula away, I personally think formula stinks but the cereal/rice helps...ha ha ha

@cubanese, her pediatrician is also a lactation consultant. She's 8 months and only weighs 12 pounds. Very petite little girl. She hasn't forced us or anything so I haven't tried it until now. The last two weeks she doesn't seem satisfied after she's done eating so after checking my diet and water consumption I figured the formula was worth a try

@miller13, I will definitely try it. Thinking if that doesn't work I'll try cutting it with breast milk

@cubanese, it smells horrible, I didn't dare try it so I definitely don't blame her. Our pediatrician has been recommending supplementing and I've pushed it off but now I don't feel like I'm keeping up with her anymore. Also there's a serious dairy allergy on her fathers side so I was hoping to find out if she had it as well
