Opinions on getting ear pierced for babies? My daughter is going to be 4 months old on Wednesday and…

My opinion is that it's completely up to each set of parents. I didn't get my daughter's done because it's unnecessary to me and she's beautiful as is and will always be. I know some get it done because they say it's cute or makes the baby cute. I'm not against piercings. If she wants to get it done when she's older, I'll gladly take her.

I got mine done when I was old enough to take care of them. It was one of my first "big girl decisions."

Like I think she would look cute with them (but she will always look cute no matter what) but I just don't want her to be in pain. So that's why I am asking for opinions

Unless you're 100% sure you want to do it, don't do it. If you do want to do it, you just have to go for it though lol. You don't want to wait too long and have her keep grabbing at them. From what I've seen from those who did get their baby's ears pierced, he pain didn't last long at all. I've seen some in the mall and the baby stopped crying before they even walked out of the store. See if her Pediatrician's office offers the piercing first, my daughter's does. I don't know how regular that is, but I'm sure it's better than having some teen do it in Claire's and if not, an actual piercing place that doesn't use the gun works just as well. Good luck. 🙂

Our baby is 9 months old and she got hers done at 6 months. We love them. We did it at a tattoo place and she didn't cry. She leaves them alone. I figure if she Hayes them when she is older she can. Remove them with no harm.

I got my ears pierced as a baby glad I did because I tried to get a second hole in my ear and it got infected .I can't get any types of piercings now .
