This. So much. My dad made like, $120k a year while we were growing up, but we still lived like we were almost broke because my mom was always like, "oh I don't like the laptop I just bought last week so I'm going to throw it away and get a new one." Or "sorry kid, I know you need driving school but we can't afford it. But look at my new TV that costs twice as much! Isn't it so cool?"
At least I can attribute my need to save money to her needless spending 😂
@rhealize, ugh! My dad can be like that as well! He wanted to "save" money by buying his own lawn mower instead of paying people to mow his lawn. But instead of doing that he bought a new TV and continues to have people mow. 😂🙄
But I posted this mainly because recently my brother in law bought a cat for his wife, that costed him $125 (because of shots and stuff), but he OWES us around that much! 😂😒 I don't get it. And now his wife is about to get her hair done for like $400 or something. And he told my fiancé "oh man after that we're going to be broke" ... like SERIOUSLY.... I dye my hair and if we were close to being $0 in our bank I would NOT be spending money on my hair, or a cat!! 🙄😤
@rhealize, also what I don't get, is that she has a cosmetology license, meaning she SHOULD be able to do her own hair herself. AND at least go BUY the things WAY cheaper to do it! SMH 🤦🏼♀️
@rhealize, Hahaha! She wants it all colorful and stuff I think. Before I dyed my hair blue they were saying that much to me as well! 🙅🏼 But then I went to Sally's and I do it myself for like $30-$50 for the products. It takes time but hell I'd rather spend less! I think they're WAY over charging her. Because her hair is to her shoulders and mine is down my back. So I don't see how they would charge her the same if she has less hair?! 🙄 Whatever!
@_texas_mom_ I got mine trimmed and dyed in an hombre style with highlights for $110 once and even then I was cringing 😂 I got the same results they gave me just dying all my hair blonde and letting it grow out for about $100 cheaper.
