My hcg continued to rise during two of my miscarriages. My last miscarriage it raised but only slightly. Another time my hcg continued to rise as it normally should. I had a blighted ovum. Everything was there besides a baby. My body thought it was still pregnant. I had symptoms and all.
@liz41395, don't give up hope!! Your hcg rising could also be a really good sign. Maybe you are way earlier then you suspect, so nothing can be seen yet. I was 2 weeks off with my current pregnancy. I am now 31 weeks along with a healthy pregnancy. It is scary when you go in and you can't see what you are expecting to. Prayers and sticky baby dust sent your way!
Please please please go get a second opinion and don't go through with anything until you are 100% certain. I am going Monday for my 2ND opinion as well.
@erikasmiles123, I had one and they saw baby but no heartbeat. I had another and they saw no baby (said it probably got absorbed?) so I want one more just to be absolutely sure!

Your hcg would not be rising if there wasn't a baby. At least I don't see how that is possible. You only have hcg in your system if you are pregnant

I don't think your body would still create hcg. But maybe I am wrong. I honestly don't know that much about it
