I'm just gonna go ahead and accept right now that no matter how long we keep her up, no matter our bedtime routine, no matter what we do, she's gonna cry when we lay her down regardless. 😶 She just fights it way too much. Even when she was in her swing, she did this (and I tend to forget that). It's just her thing, I suppose. We have tried EVERYTHING and she still does it! It breaks my heart to hear her cry (and it's kind of annoying, not gonna lie), but she'll eventually grow out of it.

@jatou Yes! We've been doing crib training for about a month now. She sleeps fine for the most part, but getting her to sleep is still an issue. 😕😕 She also wakes up several times throughout the night, whines once or twice, and then falls back asleep.

@haley-lamb she's teething right now and she has reflux, but other than that, we haven't found anything that could be wrong. I did call her doctor about it and she did say that since we waited so long to sleep train her (she slept in her swing until 9mos bc she had awful reflux, and at 8mos she had a bad cold and needed to sleep elevated) that it would probably just take a while before she really got used to it. She literally never gets a break from teething, either, the poor thing. She just got tooth #5 last week and she's already getting another!

@haley-lamb she also sleeps in the most awkward position EVER, so she probably gets uncomfortable. 😂

@haley-lamb she fights it no matter what. She has since she was born, honestly. Even when we rocked and held her while she slept, she still whined and cried before giving up and passing out. Now if you try to hold her while she's tired she just gets squirmy. She has several stuffed animals in her bed but she really only plays with them when she wakes up.

I can totally relate. Rylie has the same issues and is about the same age (10mo in a week). She was in her rock n play until a few weeks ago because her reflux and it was convenient for nursing. But I was sooo done with her waking every two hours to nurse when at her age she shouldn't need to. She's getting slightly better at sleeping in her crib but she fights it so hard. I have to nurse her to sleep and then when I put her down she wakes up and starts trying to stand up, so I have to pat her back until she falls back asleep again - and she still doesn't sleep the night through though thankfully it's for much longer stretches now. The struggle is real. Hearing your baby cry and fighting the urge to pick her up is torture. Good luck momma! It will pass and one day we'll look back and miss these moments when they kept us up and needed us so much 😭
