I'm kind of the same way. I'm Hispanic and the dad is white. And I was kind of reluctant to name to name him a Hispanic name. I don't know. Its just...odd...? I can't explain the feeling but I get where he's coming from

Yeah maybe it's the accent I love about my baby daddy and maybe it's just I want my kid to be just like him I'm glad my kids understand Spanish at 2 and 3 years old and maybe it's just I want to be like him lol @starwars-mom,

It's the same with my kids, I just found names that could be or sound a little Hispanic, but aren't necessarily. Because I am Puerto Rican and my husband is white. But everyone thinks he is and will try talking to him in Spanish lol.

@mommabear17, haha I know McDonald's Spanish because I'm a manager there and I'm scared to say one little thing in Spanish or the girls that work there will go full blown Spanish mode on me and I'm like uhhhh I'm sorry I don't know Spanish like that I wish I would but I'm hillbilly so I don't sound to great speaking Spanish

Awe lol. My grandpa calls my husband "Migo" lol because he really does look like he could be and my husband just laughs. You never know you may pick up on it.

@mommabear17, I listen to my bf Carlos speak Spanish a lot I try to put it together and sometimes I hear stuff and think that's what I know what it means and it's not lmao

Lol it will take time. I learned how to understand Spanish when I was like 14 and it was just from listening to it. I didn't start being able to speak it until I was about 18.
