No straws, and ice packs or frozen veggies for the swelling. Absolutely no sucking of any kind on even soups and drinks. I got dry socket from drinking the soup in a can.

@andrea.herrington, how long did it take for the swelling to go down for u? Were u in pain?

A little over a week. The pain was much more intense from the dry socket. Its basically like having your jaw bone exposed to air because the blood clots come out.
Did you have them pulled or surgically removed? Mine were done by surgey and that takes a little longer to heal.

If you can take them like the bottle says, don't wait until the pain comes in before you take them.
