So apparently my boyfriend was talking with his boss (who has 3 kids) about Isabelle fighting naps and sleep like crazy, and he said it's normal around this time?? He said all of his kids would not go to sleep without crying and fighting from 8mos til 18mos. Putting her in bed with us or holding her til she falls asleep to eliminate crying would just create new bad habits this late in the game, and that letting her soothe herself is the best thing for her.
It still makes me sad to hear her cry, though. 😛 And that didn't make me feel any better seeing as how 18mos is 8mos away. 😧

@mommaofgirls oh no mama, put her in her crib and she'll act like you just punched her in the face 😩😩 She hates it lol. And we do the same thing! We have to just let her cry, we can't even check on her bc it makes it so much worse. Sometimes she'll fall asleep in 5 minutes, sometimes it takes 30. Sometimes when she's really fighting it, it takes an hour 😐

My son turned a year old on May 2nd. He very rarely puts up a fight to go to sleep. He gets up around 6 am and takes one nap anywhere from 15-45 minutes and that's his only nap all day. Where he is walking now- he gets more tired at nights and is usually in bed anywhere between 6 and 7. Before he started walking he would be up until 9 or 10 pm. It'll get better. You'll make it threw. ❣️
