I need some help y'all. We're looking for a car & we went to a dealership, so he gave us the option of one just cause he didn't want to sell the other but we're torn.
Option 1: 2003 Jeep Liberty Sport, 163,000 miles, $4500. It has clean carfax except for 2 recalls that were already replaced. Dealership had to put $900 into it to fix it up before selling. Has rust on inside of all the doors & some above trunk. Rims are also rusted, but they said they'll paint them.
Option 2: 2009 Pontiac G6 GT, 62,000 miles, $4500. Its clean inside and out, no rust on it at all. But it has a salvaged title. Was repaired and resold. Won't say exactly what for, but after the car was considered salvaged, it had a owner for 5 years with no issues before he had traded it in. Had passed safety inspection as well.

I say jeep if u want more room for carseat/ strollers ect. Both r good tho.

Are there air bags in the salvaged car? For room I would say the Jeep and even if the Pontiac had a safety inspection I would still be nervous with a salvaged car

I would say go to a different dealer. A car with rust won't last long. You're wasting your money

Go some where else. Rust is cancer for cars. And a salvaged is not convincing and you would have problems registering it in motor vechicles.

@js_kidsmom, we were going to go look too, but we don't have the best credit just cause we haven't built it up, so there's not much on there & it's hard to find dealerships that will approve us

@js_kidsmom, yeah just because we had money saved up, but my boyfriends grandparents said they'd help us with a car & they bought one that we had to give $1500 back to them & it has a bad transmission & a few other mechanical things that cost more than the cars worth. Plus we had to lay to get it legal & we didn't get a choice on what we got. So now we have no savings & a not safe car. The only way we can get one is to trade what we have in towards a down payment
