It might sound like a stupid question but I want to know if it safe to breastfeed while taking birth control pills? If your going to be RUDE keep your comment to your damn self!

Yes. But pills with hormones could affect supply and possibly baby.

They recommend the progesterone only pill while breastfeeding (mini pill). Your OB office can call you in an RX. I started taking it at 6 Weeks post partum (as early as they let you). When you are done BF you can start the regular combination pill with estrogen.

I took the Microner pill while breast feeding with my first, and I had no problems with supply or feeding at all. Depo and ortho-novum I did with my second and while they're supposed to be BF safe, they both dried me up and it was hard to keep up with baby. (He would not take formula either, so lots of worries the whole time. 😩)

Mini pill and nexplanon are safe for breastfeeding.
