My mom is planning me a shower but is it wrong for me to say who I want invited and the kind of food. I offered to pay I just want this day to be special and feel good. I haven't got a party for me in so long but she says she can do whatever because im her daughter and hes her grandson :( i feel like the day is going to be a dissapointmemt and all about every one else instead of about me and my son

My mother in law is doing my baby shower and I straight up told her that I don't want just women there, and I don't want to play typical baby shower games. And I figured if I didn't like it, not to be a spoiled brat, but I won't show up. And my husband backs me 100% because it's what I want.
