Need to have a quick rant.
So I stayed at my partners mums house for 2 days. Not only does she live on the other side of London so I don't visit much because transport with a 6 month old is a myth, but she doesn't make the effort to come see me ever.
So my mum and his mum are sitting on the sofa and all of a sudden they're saying I never listen to advice. I was like huh wtf! Apparently I never take their advice and like to do things my own way :s
Now I'm sorry but I don't always take advice but I do listen and take it when it's needed. If you tell me oh u should give your daughter aptamil over any othet product and I choose to not listen then whys that a bad thing?
And if I don't ask for advice, why do you give advice when it's clearly not needed?
My mums response was oh when I was young I took all the advice my mum gave me and was grateful...but you're still a great mum though

Oh my god 🙈 i can never imagine my mum and OHs mum having a convo let alone moan about you!! How rude and tbh your mumma shouldnt gossip to his mum it causes problems. Sorry u had to hear that did u say anything to them xx

@west94 trust me. I was so shocked it literally came from nowhere. I was like to them hold on, whenever u give advice I listen and take on board what I need to and they were just both like Yeah she likes to do things her own way in a sarcastic tone and just continued ranting about me like I wasn't there so I just got up and walked out of the room x

That is so mad i would have felt horrible and awkuard! Let them have a good old gossip and get on with it While you enjoy your daughters company x

Just ignore it!! The only person i ever listen to is my own mother. Wouldnt even bother listen to my mother in law! Ps I used to live in north London so i know how awful travelling is! Couldnt imagone doing it with a pushchair!!

@kayteamay Yeah I'm trying but because my mum instigated it and continued she really upset me. I'll get over it eventually I guess. And yeah if your station doesn't have a lift it's just not happening x

@mum2sky my nearest station was Manor House. Couldnt imagine getting a pran down there!!

Moms. They know everything better; ( facepalm. ... when did they have their last kid? How much has our civilization made it forward since then? ! .... please, keep your advice to your selves. Unless she is practicing genyco.
P.S. if she doesn't make an effort to come visit you, why should you?

@morskaya_wolna lol they last had their kids 20 plus years ago. And exactly. I get pressured to make the effort to go so I just do. My mum always offers to drop me which isn't bad but why should she have to uno? I dno hopefully it'll get better with time. Thank u ur post made me laugh x
