HELP! I had my baby girl almost 2 weeks ago and I want to get one birth control pills. Not sure if I should ask for a certain kind? Any kinds I should avoid? Help!
I am on microgestin birth control pill. I've been on it for 3 years & not once have I felt sick or had any other symptoms with it. It's been really good to me. Have you ever been on a birth control pill before?
I also have mirena. It is hands down the best birth control I've ever had. I got it put in after my first son, then we decided to take it out after 9 months when we decided to have another baby. I got pregnant 2 months later. After my 2nd son was born I again, got it put in and love everything about it. I don't have to worry about pills, and it's good for 5 years. My period even stopped! I haven't had my period in 4 years. I get some cramping from time to time but nothing else. The only downside is that it is uncomfortable to get it put in. Not too bad though. It hurts for about a day after getting g it inserted but nothing overbearing. Taking it out doesn't hurt at all. Hope this helps! Best of luck!!
Stands for Intrauterine Device. It's a little stick, usually T shaped, that they stick in your cervix and it slowly releases birth control over a 5-10 year period. The one I have is called Mirena. I've been using it a year so far and most days I don't even remember it's there. 😊
I was on the microner pills for about 10 months with no problems. (Then I missed a day and got pregnant bahaha.) I only switched to an IUD cause I'm so bad at remembering pills. That's also an option, but birth control works different for everyone so not all ladies are comfortable with the long term commitment of an IUD
@rhealize, I don't have to worry about breastfeeding because my milk dried up almost right after I had her... after I spend like 400$ on Breast feeding supplies! 😭 the pills I used before I got pregnant made me so sick. How long have you been on yours?
