So who is the lucky lady with gestational diabetes? Me 😐
I had gestational diabetes with my daughter. I took the news really hard. But once I realized what I could eat and got a hang of it, it wasn't really that bad. If you have any questions, please don't be afraid to ask. I know how scary it can be at first.
@dee_02dee i try, but sometimes its hard bc people dont take me seriously. I had to learn this stuff bc i grew up never being able to gain weight. Which wasnt healthy. The solution to being over weight and under weight is the same, and thats what people dont get.
@dee_02dee yea it is stressful. My dad has to check his sugar at least 2 times a day, and he has to stick himself with an insuline needle at least 2 times a day. Ive never wanted to do that so ive avoided it as much as i can. Its also why i can create healthy meal plans for people based off of their daily life style. I could probably advertise it and make money doing it, but i dont want to make money doing it. I belive in helping people be healthy without starving themselves. Thats why the meals that i sugggest are balanced, and what you eat depends on your daily life style.
@bmndz95 please keep me updated. @bethany_swaney it's just a little disappointing and scary. Having to test my glucose levels 4 times a day and being on a strict diet ant so much fun while being pregnant either lol thank you for your support ❤
@dee_02dee youll be fine. Diabeties runs in my family. I know ways to avoid getting it. So in other words i can help you avoid it after you have your baby.
@bmndz95 well my doctor wanted to test me early because of the birth weights of my kids and I also wanted to be tested because I just didn't feel right and sure enough it came back with my sugar high. Risks for me are a c-section and possibly developing type 2 diabetes within 5yrs 😟 ask your doctor to be tested early. The earlier the better! Let me know how it goes for you please.
@ldavis4415 it really is. I have never dealt with this before and it is a major bummer not being able to freely eat like a normal person and having to test so many times. I already have a terrible memory I just hope I can keep up with all of this. Thank you so much for your support!!
