I had an epidural not because I wanted to but because I had to. My back is just fine.

I got the epidural when I had my daughter and it was amazing. Seriously one of the best choices I could've made and I don't have any back problems from it. You just have to stay really still when they are putting it in and you won't have any problems. It really made my birth experience great.

I got the epidural 8 hours in, it was like heaven I never slept so well in my life. The warm feeling in my body was amazing. It didn't hurt going it. I didn't get any nasty headaches no back aches nothing :) I'm 4 month post pardum an I'm perfectly fine! Complications happen. But rarely . It all depends on the doctor an how still you are while it's being placed @tiannaramirez1,

I also had an epidural. It was the best decision that I could have made. Especially considering that I was in labor for 26 hrs. It allowed me to actually sleep for a few hrs. However afterwards I did have horrible headaches for about a week and half. I don't know if it is from the epidural or if it came from the fact that they had to stick me 4 times before they got the epidural in. 2 times out of those 4 sticks they ended up doing a spinal. But getting the epidural was the best decision I think that I could have made.

Honestly I wish I hadn't gotten the epidural my first born. Because when I had my second I did it without and the feeling of accomplishing that without anything but the strength you have is so satisfying and fulfilling. I'd say try it out because it's worth the pain and you'll be so proud of yours. It's a really empowering moment and especially without any pain mess

I had an epidural for my first pregnancy and I loved it, hated them putting it in but it gave me my most relaxing birth experience! I slept all through labor and was woken up to give birth lol.

oh and I've had no back issues! only the few weeks after birth but your gunna hurt after birth either way

Thanks for all the great responses. I told my OB to give me a heads up when it's getting close to not being able to get it. That way I can decide.
