Wash it. You can sprinkle baking soda on it and the smell will come out. You have to leave if sir a few hours. I have had to clean s lot of vomit over the years.
Make sure to look at the cleaning instructions of the manual, many car seats are very specific about what you can and can't do. Letting it sit out in the bright sun after doing whatever you can to clean it should help too!

I had a really hard time getting the smell out, I used oxi a few times then it went away!

If it doesn't come off to wash it, I use Carpet Resolve. It take dog vomit off of everything. Why not kid vomit?
