On Monday night I had to rush Victoria to the ER because she banged her head on our car door, causing a big gash on her hemangioma. Since it was right on the hemangioma, it really bled badly. As every parent knows, when your child's hurt, you hurt too. Thankfully - 3 days later - and after 2 additional checkups, she's 100% fine. She wasn't able to get stitiches because of the delicate location and the doc in the ER said 2 butterflies would do the trick! She was right!

My girl was cool as a cucumber. She got very nervous when she saw the blood, but after that... she just entertained the staff marching around with my Louis clutch, putting on chapstick (pretending it was lipstick) for "the nice girl doctor," and sneaking a peek at the patient next door (an elderly couple who loved the distraction). Embracing this morning with a sigh of relief... the gash looks great today.
