I am 30wks today & should be excited! But unfortunately I have been feeling like crap for a while now, and this morning my partner made me feel worse saying how 'disgusting' it is when the baby moves. He doesnt want to cut the cord as thats also 'disgusting'. I have been in tears as its really hurt me but I dont know what to do 😢 last pregnancy I was involved in domestic Violence so never got to enjoy it, managed to come out of the relationship at 7months and did it all by myself which I am proud of. But now I feel all alone again in this pregnancy and its really getting me down 😭😭😭

Is your partner squeamish usually? Because mine didn't want to cut the cord and it freaked him out when we could see her move from inside too but he is super squeamish so I didn't mind really! But he never said it's disgusting- I do think it's strange for them because they can't actually feel or experience it! Just try to stay positive and ignore his negativity! Xx

Being squeamish is one thing x and using the word disgusting is messed up x I don't know ur man so I can't really judge him with the choice of words he used x My hubby is squeamish x he didn't cut any of the cords either x he would have probably fainted LOL x Just speak to him x let him know that his choice of words hurt u x u understand that he probably finds it weird like afew men x but the wording upset u x if he's still a prick about it then maybe he's just a knob

No offence but saying the baby moving feels disgusting makes your partner sound like a dick!

he shouldn't have said that, there is something wrong with him, not with you! so don't feel so bad!
my husband thought it was very weird that there was a human inside me, he generally doesn't like pregnant women, and keeps saying how cook it would be if we could lay eggs instead... he wisely kept quiet while I was pregnant though!

My partner doesn't want to cut our sons cord either because he's frightened it's going to hurt him even though it won't, he's just got it in his mind it will haha. But as for your partner saying the baby moving is disgusting is just wrong, it's one of the most beautiful things in the world x

Iv been keeping my mouth shut for quite a while when he makes his little comments, but this morning just put me in tears. I understand men see things differently, it is strange to them of course & i usually just laugh it off, but after saying the baby moving looks weird & its disgusting has made me feel like absolutely crap. For the whole cutting the cord, I asked him if he wanted to just so i can let the midwife know, i wasnt offended that he said no, but it did upset me when he said 'why on earth would i want to do that for thats just gross'. Comments like that i think should not need to be said. When I got upset this morning he said I take everything the wrong way, but I dont understand how? I tend to ignore him with his stupid comments & just get on with it, but saying its disgusting i cant see how iv taken that the wrong way?. Iv said to him if its really that bad dont worry about being in the room when i give birth, my close friend who is more like a mother to me has said she is more than happy to be my birthing partner again & she wants to cut the cord if he doesnt, that means alot to me. But he went balistic that i even said about him not being here when i give birth, i cant win!! Iv tried explaining that unfortunately when i give birth its going to look alot worse than just seeing the cord i cant hide it. Im confused, angry & so upset from it all i feel like i dont want to see or speak to anyone xxx
