Took my son to urgent care and turns out he has hives. They told me it could be because of an allergic reaction but I don't think it's that. Could the heat from his fever be causing hives? They prescribed him benadryl, is that really going to help? My son has never had this and I'm freaking out! Help!

My son had something similar to this I took him to the hospital they said he had a virus and the hive were a result of the virus they told me to give him Advil for the fever and Benadryl for the hives and it did work soon as he started taking the Benadryl

My son was 10 and he couldn't stand them and at first I didn't know what it I thought heat rash so he took a cool bath the would go away for a little then come back I was worried 😩

The liquid Benadryl should stop him from itching (rub it on the rash)

Also watch out for dairy! Lay off of it for a little while while the hives and rash go away.
