Never heard that. His pedi even said he was fine to cry.

Well I mean if he's like hyperventilating crying and just absolutely flipping out I'll check on him but he sometimes fusses and whines himself to sleep at night. My son fights sleep and gets over tired at times so he throws a fit on occasion until he finally tired himself out.

My daughter can only get to sleep if she cries it out. She fights sleep SO BAD. She's gotten better, she used to scream and cry and throw a complete tantrum, but now it's usually just a few minutes of whining or fussing. Even if you rock her to sleep, she will whine or cry until she gives up.

@indiavalentino22, i agree, an honestly my nerves are to bad an im too emotional to let my baby cry like that because whos to say the baby isnt crying for a reason?? Really" what if the baby is going thru something mentally an jus needs a shoulder to cry on... so no i dont suggest letting them cry an keep in mind that we carry our babies 9/10 months now theyre in this big cold scary world they need us CLOSE to them for like 10 months before they get used to being independent... 😔

I can't/havent/won't let my child cry for more than 5 minutes. Regardless of what it is (sleep or just being needy when cooking) Their first year is when their learning about themselves and their emotions.. they say not to let them cry it out for longer than that because it affects their social skills, stress, anxiety, and can cause even worse of separation anxiety later on.
