We are going to the beach in a few days with our son for his first time. I had to get a bathing suit which I was dreading. Well since having my son I have a rather bad "pooch". Honestly no matter what bathing suit I put on, I felt like complete and utter shit about myself. I've never been tiny and I've lost weight and that pooch just looks worse. So I decided to be more comfortable and swim in a tank top and shorts until I fix my issues. My fiancé keeps telling me I look amazing even though I think I don't. I love my son and I'm so blessed to have him. Unfortunately I've been hit with this depression and I have no confidence. When we bring our son swimming all my self image issues will disappear because I now he will love the water. He's worth it completely don't get me wrong. I'm just struggling right now. I do plan on saving up 100 dollars to get a bathing suit from torrid that will hide my problem area but that isn't in our budget at the moment. Anyone else have these self image issues after having their child??

Yes!! Before having my son I was naturally tiny, always around 102 pounds. When I got preggo I gained about 65 pounds quick & then lost it quick after giving birth which left my stomach looking like a popped balloon.. here I am 3 1/2 years later still with a popped balloon tummy & loose skin with stretch marks 😩 ofcourse our babies are worth it but it's hard not to pay attention to these problem areas & wish it away! I totally feel you girl! But I'm sure you will have a blast :]

Did you breastfeed. Do you exercise?

Easier said than done but don't think about it. How many times have you thought about the girl that was over weight at the store or the one you questioned why she dressed like that in public? Not that much right? No ones going to think twice about what you look like. Have fun! Enjoy the precious moments you have and try not to worry about the physicality. Much love to you

Мама сына-младенца
@beebaby, I breastfed for a little while. I had to stop because my son got jaundice and refused to eat anything and was close to getting hospitalized because of his very high levels. And yes I excercise. I've lost weight but that's something that hasn't gone away.

You should get a sweat band and do cardio. It helped with me
