I was induced with my first. I was a week over my due date with no signs of going into labor on my own. We checked in on a Wednesday night and they softened my cervix over night. Then I started contracting early in the morning.

Induction is forced labor, it was more painful than natural labor to me. Wore me out but got the job done

Dont be scared, and dont let anyone elses experiences scare you. EVERYONE is different. I got scared with everyones stories & when i went to go get induced i was so scared & everything went great. Started the pitocin at 7 Am. Around 11:40 Am i asked for the epidural because contractions were more than period cramp pain, & around 2:30 my drs & i started. At 2:42 my baby was born. I only pushed about 9 times maybe, i didnt even sweat. I honestly wouldnt have wanted it any other way.

I was induced at 38 weeks and start to finish it took 13 hours. I didn't end up needing pitocin, when my doctor administered cytotec it put me into labor and I progressed on my own. I was super scared because I had heard so many horror stories but don't let them scare you, it's not bad for everyone!

My water broke and i wasn't progressing on my own so they tried inducing me but my body stopped responding to the pitocin after I hit 3 cm and ended up needing an emergency C-section. But that was only because I had gone 25 hours with my water broken. Otherwise I still would've been on pitocin.
