It'll go away my son's face was like that too. He'll be a month tomorrow and his face is flake free. I did put Vaseline once in a while though, his pediatrician said it was fine.
It does go away, but a little moisturizer is okay. Often it's a change of weather that causes it, or just his skin is trying to adjust to different climates. He used to live in fluids in your belly, so that was like constant moisture. 😂
The Drs told me after 2 weeks lotion should be okay. Lotion gave him baby acne and skin was still dry even with baby eczema lotions. I tried coconut oil and I still use it, it's the only thing that worked! And it's cheap if you get the tub of organic virgin coconut oil from Costco it's $20 but it lasts forever I got the tub when my son was a month old and it's just finally a little over half empty!

Lotions meant for sensitive skin should be fine. I used to use coconut and almond oil on my boys when they were babies, too. 😊
