Right before this picture, I took a 6 minute video of my LO in her swing after a nap, just perfectly content and talking to herself. After I recorded it, I remembered a 30 minute VHS my parents recorded of my sister, when she was right around Ophie's age, just content in a swing. As a kid, I had no idea why you would waste film on a baby doing nothing. And then I realized why people say there's no way to describe being a parent. There's no way to prepare you for the fascination you have with this little tiny human you created. And what kind of love you have for them. It's the kind that makes you go from spending 6 minutes recording your baby just being a baby to pausing to take a picture of the puke all over you and your baby and before wiping it off. And surprisingly, it feels like the greatest thing in the world.

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
