It's obvious I'm not gonna be able to go back to work. I have an interview Friday but I'm thinking of cancelling.
Every single morning, David does NOTHING with the baby. He even makes it a point to leave 45 minutes before he has to be at work (which is 10 minutes away) so he doesn't have to do anything with her.
For the first two weeks, I would have to leave at 830. How am I supposed to get myself ready and out the door when I have to take care of Isabelle on my own? It's not gonna be possible. If I'm late even one day in my first 4 weeks of training, I'm fired.
I tried saying something this morning to him. I said "If I get this job, you're gonna have to start helping in the mornings." And he just flat out said NO.
So, looks like I'm not going back to work. Which means no extra money, no moving out of this house, no getting caught up on rent, nothing.

Uhhhhh yeah. Sounds like you need to find childcare for your baby, put his ass on child support, go to work, and ditch his ass. This is controlling behavior. It's keeping you trapped. Not ok at all.

Try getting everything you can ready at night so its easier in the morning I hate waking up in the morning I was always notorious for being late, but I did it and you can to. If you were on your own you wouldn't have his help anyway that sucks he can't man up and try to be a team player for and and his daughters sake tho.

@shann @arivera64 I just don't understand. I have childcare in the mornings, but because he works 930 to 6, she won't be here to pick up the baby until 845. Which is a perfectly reasonable time. I'll have to leave at 830 to be on time, which is the time he's currently leaving. If he leaves before I do, I'll have to wait for her to pick her up and then I'll be late. He doesn't even have to leave until 915. It's just so frustrating tbh.

How can he try to help get you a job but then not help so you can go. You def need to either have a serious talk or just leave, most men dont change until they realize the severity and some still dont but he can't put everything on you

It's hard but if you really want a job you can make things happen. For a while I was a single mom of both my boys, going to school full time, with a full time job plus a part time. You just have to get a schedule and stick with it. Doing it by yourself is hard but sometimes you need to know when walking away and doing it by yourself is best.. He feels like he doesn't have to help because if he tells you he isn't going to you accept it. Like she said above men don't realize til it's gone and for some it's never coming back. You never know how much happier you could be with it being just you and your daughter.

Could you ask her to pick up the baby 15mins earlier? You really need to get a job and get out of there mama, his behavior is concerning for you guys.

@santistevanmommie after the end of May she'll be able to, but at the moment she has to take my youngest brother to school in the mornings bc my parents and other brothers are both gone by the time he needs to leave for school.

I would just tell him that after the end of may you can leave as early as he pleases but until then he should step up and be helpful.
