At 12, there are better ways to teach a child about self harm/suicide and bullying than this tv show. My little brother is 11, 12 next month and I wouldn't let him watch it if he were interested. But what we have done is taught him from a very young age to stand up for people and not to bully. He invites the lonely kids to lunch with him, to his bday parties and defends them in class on the occasion that someone is being mean.. to teach him at 12 about self harm though.. too young
