My mum said when Ur pregnant u can't go in a really hot bath because it can make u go into labour…

It can happen but my midwife said its not that common if you get what I mean. I always have a bath that's warm but then put the hot water on and leave it for about 5 mins then turn it off and it's just alright then @babybump343, X

A warm bath is okay but not a hot bath, babies don't like heat that's what the midwifes and consultants have been telling me as I wanted hot baths for my pelvic and hip pain. But I just have showers and it does help @babybump343

It's something to do with, can't have to too hot for the baby,@babybump343, I still had a hot bath every now and then not all the time!xx

Aww thanks girls my midwife hasn't told me any of this and this is my first so i don't really no all the do's and dont's yet lol xx

yh you will be lucky to find a good midwife, my midwifes don't tell me anything unless I ask a question. This is my first too and to be honest I don't know what the midwifes are here for, all they do is check my pee! and need to be reminded to measure my belly @babybump343 ask questions thats what doctors and midwifes are there for,

I'm 18 weeks and saw a midwife twice they don't keep in contact with me xxx

I was told by mine that you should avoid hot baths/jacuzzis/hot tubs/saunas as it increases your core temperature, even though you may not necessarily feel hot, and that can be dangerous for baby. Hope that helps x
