I had my iud removed 6 months ago. I am ttc now. When I had the iud before years ago after my first child it took 6 months after I had it removed to get pregnant again.

@jenniferagu13, good luck on ttc! I recently took out my IUD and have been trying with my fiancé. @kmechellec, I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage! May I ask which IUD did you have? I had the paraguard and my OB said there's no reason I shouldn't be able to start trying right away. I have read some stories about people miscarrying after trying with an IUD and it's starting to frighten me.

@kmechellec, it's nice to know what can possibly happen .. i don't want to try and then be disappointed since my daughter is so excited ☺️☺️

I got pregnant immediately & miscarried. You're at a higher risk for miscarriage immediately after having it removed. I was put on the pill for the first few months but obviously was ineffective. I've seen 2 different doctors since then & they highly suggest that women wait a few cycles to regulate their body again.

@mazeyy09, okay thank you .. i just want to get an idea since I've had mine in for a 5 years and a half but will be getting it removed this week to start trying with baby #2 😬
