Is 13 Reasons Why appropriate for a 12 year old to watch 🤔🤔🤔 ?asking because my daughter said a lot…

There is rape scenes In it and it shows her suicide pretty graphically ... if your okay with that then ... I wouldn't allow it at 12 maybe abit older to see and understand what bullying is and all that . Otherwise I'm not sure it's really suitable for such an age . I couldn't sleep after watching the rape and the death and I'm 24

I agree also with the above comment ^ maybe u can watch it with her and explain things to her . This way she's not left out and understands the danger of bullying , rape etc . There are lessons on the show for sure . But only if it's explained

I'd say yes it would be appropriate as it's set at highschool age so it could show things she may face or see around school watch it with her maybe and the rape scene is a really eye opener especially for younger girls xx

I agree with @mrsmord, and @sabby, watch it with her. Make sure she understands what's really happening. Tell her it's graphic though

It's rated MA. It's completely up to you. I don't think we should sensor things for kids.. It doesn't help them in any way. I would let my kid watch it and then have open discussions about whatever she wondered about or was scared by

Yesss I agree with the above statement, watch it with her and did have a discussion with her, bc at her age being 12 things do start to happen, crazy but true kids 12 to 14 are doing things you will be surprised.....

Is there any nudity in this show ladies ?

Honestly if I was to let my child see it, i would watch it before I let her watch it. That way you know the scenes that are coming up and if you see anything that you don't like then you can fast forward through that scene and then if she asks why you did it then tell her why. There are some things that a 12 year old just shouldn't see, like the rapes happenings the drunk driving scene and the suicide scene at the end. No there isn't any nudity that I can remember but pretty graphic pieces. My daughter is 4 months and I couldn't even watch it with her. It is a trigger show so be careful of that! But it is definitely some lessons that can be learned. Like I said, I would watch it before her and then watch it with her. That way you aren't surprised when a certain scene comes up
