Hello I am Ceiamaria I am a stay at home Mother to 4 children ages 12,8,7 and 11 months old. I am happily married for 12 years and we are still going strong. I am determined and driven for success FAILURE isn't an option for me. I potty trained my oldest at 9 months old. My 2 middle son's were more difficult they were between 18 months and 2 years old. My baby boy was showing interest in potty training, I decided to buy him a potty chair.
Potty training tips
1.) Don't rush your child
2.)Don't yell at your child
3.) Don't punish your child for having accidents
4.) Don't give you child candy
5.) Don't compare other children to your child
6.) Do praise your child
7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty.
8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty
9.)Don't criticize your child
10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them.
11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child.

@ritschardrachel look at this I thought this was interesting 9 months?
My daughter Isabella just turned Two a week ago. Any tips or ideas on how soon I should start potty 🚽 training. She shows some interest, but don't want to push it. She does yell me or her dad that she has dirty diaper. Is that a sign that she may be ready? @smilingwithmyawesome4kids,
My son points and tries to take off his diaper when he has to pee but refuses to sit long enough on the potty. He is also too small for training pants or even regular toddler underwear. He is almost 2 and isn't even in size 4 diapers. He also is not verbally communicating. Is he still too young? He seems ready to potty train to me. He just gets easily distracted. He likes baths and gets distracted by the tub when he tries to potty. Would moving his potty to another room be more helpful? He also take a his toilet apart. What can I do to stop that?
My little one is 3 and I'm having a hard time getting her to go poop on the potty.
My baby girl is showing serious interest in the potty chair and had gone pee 7 times and pooped once. She loved the praise. Some family are giving me a hard time that we have started "early" and it will cause her issues. I wasn't anywhere near thinking about potty training but we got a potty chair from my mil that they has for their other granddaughter who is 4 now. I decided to clean it up and stick it in the spare room until ready well once I cleaned it she wanted to sit on it. So she sat and sat and got up came back we did this for about an hour than she peed in it and I praised her a LOT and she wants to sit all the time she dose get disappointed when she doesn't get praise for just sitting hahah. I did a little praise when she peed next to her potty because close enough and the thought counts right? Anywho I like that Im not the only one starting "young".
@smilingwithmyawesome4kids my daughter won't let me go to the bathroom without her and she always looks in the toilet but if I put her on it she immediately wants off. She pulls her diaper off as well. According to my boyfriend she took her diaper off yesterday and squatted on the floor but didn't potty at all
I tried the no underwear to underwear thing, the taking them to the potty every 15 minutes besides at bedtime it's before bed and first thing in the morning. And tried potty seats and little pottys
I have four in diapers my youngest is 11 months old so it would be nice if my boys got potty training down before she starts trying. Plus my oldest has one year before kindergarten and it's a must to be fully potty trained
@smilingwithmyawesome4kids, so 15 months is ok? He is starting to pull his diaper off
@kelleycrew7362, Yeah that sounds like a good idea 💡
Hoe can I have my child show interest? I heard boys take longer than girls but he's ahead of schedule and six and half months now.
Also I know all kids are different my question is how to know if you're being too pushy or just the right amount if that makes sense I just don't want to make it more dramatic for her and end up delaying things @smilingwithmyawesome4kids,
@mothersjobneverdone, were in the same boat I have a two year old and a six month old. Let's start this journey together Snapchat ya lol. I'm maken a pee poop and sit chart to hang and put stickers on
@smilingwithmyawesome4kids, wise choice! It's not like me to have candy around- we only did bc of Easter. I've tossed the rest and she's doing pretty good. I have to laugh at myself a little...I obviously wasn't thinking real clear 🤷♀️
I actually just made a sticker chart it worked so well with my son. We're taking this journey again this coming week send lots of positive thoughts @smilingwithmyawesome4kids,
@smilingwithmyawesome4kids, she quickly figured out the reward system and kept going to the potty. Which was great except when woke up in middle of the night screaming for chocolate. All out tantrum for chocolate😳oops.
I have a 2yr. old and just had a new baby with the lack of sleep and my husbands work schedule I don't no how to fit in potty 🚽 training although he's very interested in the bathroom and buying Costco boxes of diapers and wipes for my 5 month old and him is getting expensive 💸💸.So I guess my question is what or how should I do it?
Hello I'm a mom of 5 kids My boys are having a difficult time getting the concept ages 4 and twin 2 year olds they do have minor delays but seem interested but just do go they will sit on the potty but we off and go in their diapers
@smilingwithmyawesome4kids, I have she sits there and nothing. I just ordered a potty book. Did you do a sticker board or anything
@smilingwithmyawesome4kids, I try very hard but I have 4 other kids and my husband doesn't help much at all with anything 😱
Oh okay well thank you its just easier cause that's how he sees mom doing it
@smilingwithmyawesome4kids, we are doing better, just have to get her up at night to use the bathroom. We are both heavy sleepers.
I know this sounds weird but I have been teaching my son to go potty sitting down cause that's the only way he would he is 2 and he has been doing great so far and he has no accidents but now I'm trying to teach him how to stand up while doing it and I got the froggy urien thing. Any tips? Or should I not be worried about it?
Do I just put her on a potty ?? Any words you say how many times a day
@smilingwithmyawesome4kids, she does since 7 months.
@smilingwithmyawesome4kids, any suggestions on how to start? We have a baby potty ready just haven't opened it yet
My son is going to be three in june. He has been very off and on. He knows when he has to go he just chooses not to. Judge if you may but i fo not use pull ups. We will frequently use undies but he feel he can go in the undies so i allow him to go pantsless for the first few times then turn to the undies
@smilingwithmyawesome4kids, I'm trying to take her every 15-30 minutes. I just stop that and let her tell me when she has to go to the bathroom. She will tell me that she has to go but then sometimes she doesn't go.
I can attest to #4 we did that and man I regret that little reward system...we're doing better but it more of a challenge with our 2nd child
My two year old hates being in her wet diaper and tells me every time after she goes but still hasn't gone on the potty. Any tips are welcome
My 3 yr old does so well for awhile and then BAM he quits...and then he repeats the process all over again! Help!!!
I'm having issues with two kids cause we have a very small bathroom lol both potties won't fit working on my nephew and my youngest daughter at the same time
@thebossmom matter of fact. That is what his dad suggested. I really do need to heed his advice more
It is the the bathroom but I will trying going with him in the bathroom. Thanks
@daradee01, I would suggest putting it in the bathroom and having him sit on it whenever you go to the bathroom
What is a good way to introduce the potty and start training? My baby thinks the potty is something to bang on
My oldest stopped wetting the bed about a year after she was potty trained during the day it helped to stop giving her drinks an hour before bed time
Hi good morning all,
I am a mom of two beautiful girl 5 and 2. My oldest daughter was each to potty train but my youngest has the concept of going to the bathroom she just doesn't and comes to me or her father and says mommy or daddy poop or pee which ever she did. But won't go to the bathroom and use the toilet. WHAT CAN I DO?
